Welcome to Glaut! Get started faster by learning some basics
Glaut is the AI-native market research Service-as-a-Software. Glaut is an end-to-end market research platform, where researchers execute large-scale research studies about customers, employees, patients, and citizens to extract qualitative insights at scale.
How? Glaut combines the efficiency of a survey with the depth of a 1-to-1 interview, replacing closed-ended questionnaires with "AIMI" (AI-moderated interviews) with thousands of respondents simultaneously.
An AIMI (AI-moderated interview) is a semi-structured interview where a human researcher designs the outline with a mix of open and closed-ended questions. Our AI-powered software then conducts the interview via voice, delivering personalized follow-ups to deeply understand the respondent’s perspectives.
AI moderation uses advanced LLMs to replace the human moderator in interviews, offering:
Glaut combines elements of quantitative and qualitative research, offering a unique, scalable approach to uncover deeper insights.
Unlike other AI tools that operate as "black boxes," Glaut is built for experienced researchers, giving them significant control, customization and flexibility over each step of a research process, from briefing to final report. Glaut also stands out with its voice-based approach, where both questions and answers are delivered and processed via voice. Finally, one of our platform's core strenghts is the focus on verbatim analysis and interpretation, such as inferring purchase likelihood or NPS scores, without directly asking those questions to the respondents.
Learn how Glaut works and the power of Glaut’s integrations and platform
Glaut supports over 50 languages for both interviews and analysis, making it ideal for multilingual research projects. The interview language and analysis language can differ, allowing you to reach respondents in their native tongue while standardizing analysis in a preferred language.
Glaut also accommodates regional dialects, such as different pronounciations of Spanish (from Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina) and English (from the USA, UK, Australia, South Africa), ensuring nuanced understanding across diverse audiences. With each release, we expand our language capabilities to meet the needs of global researchers.
Glaut can seamlessly complement quantitative surveys by adding a qualitative dimension to your project:
While Glaut can be used as an add-on to a quant survey, Glaut shines as a stand-alone research programming software.
Interviews typically last from 2 to 10–15 minutes. Longer span are still in test, to find the best fit between Glaut and our customers research techniques.
Glaut works with various distribution channels, including panel providers, social media platforms, and any other medium where you can share a Glaut link.
Incentives can boost participation rates and are recommended in many research use cases. However, Glaut’s interactive format has achieved high response rates (~80%) even without them.

Glaut software is able to perform in-depth, automatic, real-time analysis of unstructured data from thousands of AI-moderated interviews:
This flexibility allows for tailored, in-depth analysis that aligns with your research goals.
Glaut delivers three complementary outputs:
Legal issues and review of AI guidance for data usage
No. Glaut’s AI operates in a closed system and does not train on your data, ensuring full confidentiality.
Glaut is a software that researchers use to perform market research (collecting and processing respondents’ data). Therefore, Glaut acts as a Data Processor for the customer (which is the Data Owner), without collecting nor retaining PII. Before kicking off a project, Glaut and the customer will execute a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) to formalise this relationship.
At Glaut, we do not collect any PII from respondents. However, if customers wish to track respondents for research purposes, they can provide an anonymized ID as a URL parameter. This allows the analysis of responses while maintaining strict adherence to privacy standards and avoiding the sharing of any PII.
Glaut provides flexible solutions to support privacy communication with respondents. In compliance with GDPR regulations, the responsibility for notifying respondents about data processing activities lies with the Data Controller (the customer). As a Data Processor, Glaut is not required to display a privacy notice at the start of an interview. However, upon request, Glaut can either display its own Privacy Notice (attached here) or include a link to the customer’s Privacy Notice, ensuring transparency and compliance.
Glaut adheres to all applicable data protection regulations, including GDPR and CCPA, and maintains comprehensive documentation to certify compliance. This ensures that our processes align with the highest standards of data privacy and security, providing transparency and accountability to our customers.
In compliance with GDPR requirements, Glaut facilitates data deletion upon request from our customers. Once processed, data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Therefore, we recommend initiating deletion requests only after the project has been completed and the data is no longer of value or relevance.
Customers data is segregated in different Organisations on Glaut. This enables that only selected members of the customer’s team can access their data. Within an Organisation, we also support Workspace and Project levels.
We support role-based access control (RBAC) to limit access to specific people defined by the customer at each level. This ensures that the customer has full control on who can access specific data within their Organisation.
Members from Glaut’s customer success team have access to all respondents data to provide project execution support to our customers, if required. Glaut’s responsibilities, including confidentiality, are regulated both in our commercial agreement and in the DPA that will both be executed before kicking off the first project.
All data is securely stored and processed in the cloud, with servers located exclusively within the European Union to ensure compliance with regional data protection regulations. Specifically, data is stored using MongoDB Atlas, and our services are hosted on reliable platforms such as Heroku and AWS.
As of today, all the servers used by our infrastructure are located in the EU. However, through our 3rd-party infrastructure providers, we can easily set up US-based servers if needed.
Find out how Glaut is helping organizations solve real-world challenges with powerful insights
Considering AI-moderated interviews position themselves as a hybrid qual and quant methodology, Glaut can be used for a wide variety of research use cases. However, we see researchers getting incredible results in 4 top uses cases: asset testing (images, videos, Adv, product, prototyping); experience (customer, employee, patients, doctors); brand equity (trackers, brand value); pre-screening candidates for qualitative research.
Glaut can investigate and measure audience spontaneous reactions to advertising campaigns, providing real-time, valuable insights into how the audiencereacts to a certain campaign.
Yes, Glaut helps gauge audience sentiment around new concepts, products, or innovations, allowing you to understand how your audience feels about new ideas
Glaut created the Qualitative Tracker, which is able to combine the temporary dimension of a quantitative tracker with qualitative insights,, capturing evolving trends and perspectives to help you understand shifts in audience opinions.
Glaut offers in-depth insights into employee satisfaction, concerns, and ideas, enabling businesses to improve workplace culture and boost productivity.
Absolutely! Glaut can gather detailed, open-ended feedback from event attendees, helping to refine future events and address specific areas for improvement.
None of the interviews data is used to train AI models. As clearly stated in Glaut’s AI model provider’s data policy, no customer data is EVER used to train their models. This means our respondents’ data is protected and not used for other purposes outside of the research project.
Glaut might use an aggregated and anonymized version of respondents’ data to improve its services for its customers. This does not in any case breach the confidentiality and privacy of our respondents’ data.
Glaut employs rigorous quality controls to validate the accuracy and reliability of its AI systems. Central to this process are agent evaluations: AI-driven assessments designed to measure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to functional requirements with a level of precision and scale beyond human capabilities. These evaluations ensure that AI outputs are tailored to each project's unique needs by analyzing key metrics such as response relevance, data interpretation accuracy, and compliance with guidelines. This approach enables extensive testing on a scale that surpasses traditional manual evaluations, delivering actionable and meaningful results.
We have the following measures in place:
All our network communications are encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS):
We are in the process of getting ISO27001 certification. We estimate to have it by May 2025.
